Responsibilities
1. Business Partnering: The role actively contributes to growing the Service business profitably.
Owns the performance management process from strategic priorities setting, to budgeting, forecasting, variance and trend analysis. Drives long-term strategic planning, assessing business potential and transformation. Delivers strong financial support on strategic ad-hoc studies (partnership, business case, investment scenarios). Key focus on KPI’s, deep dive into business drivers, provide guidance, challenge plans, offer solutions, and ensure full buy-in of senior management. Ensures effective communication and understanding of the financial & business performance and drive accordingly the decision-making process (corrective plans).
2. Finance Excellence: engage closely with the EMEA Accounting team for the Monthly and Quarterly Close, and establish a reliable control and compliance environment throughout all countries. Work closely with EMEA HQ team on regular reporting and analysis.
3. Finance Transformation: support regional and global efforts to harmonize processes and procedures, implement new tools, including RPA and other automation tools.
4. Join the EMEA Finance Leadership team, help streamline processes, and support collaboration for strategic goals.
Qualifications
Education:
5. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
6. MBA or equivalent experience is preferred for accounting roles.
Experience:
7. Proven substantial working in a commercial Finance role in a large organization, ideally in Life Sciences, or an Industrial or FMCG environment.
8. Experience collaborating with commercial organizations, possessing an in-depth grasp of the priorities, mechanisms, and interconnections within those teams.
9. Past experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity.
10. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and other business software.
11. Experience of working within a diverse cultural setting.
