The Role
Join the Quality Laboratory team of 7, reporting to the Laboratory Manager, working within an AS9100, ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 environment. Interpret engineering drawings, perform detailed visual inspections on CNC machined/ground components, record results accurately and maintain full traceability—all while upholding the highest laboratory standards (safety, cleanliness, calibration, FOD control).
Key Responsibilities
Clean and prepare samples for inspection; maintain laboratory standards (safety, environmental, cleanliness, calibration, FOD).
Perform visual inspections using microscope, video measurement and defect evaluation equipment; record results and identify rework needs.
Use general measuring tools (micrometers, surface testers, contour tracers; CMM experience advantageous).
Complete route cards and Mie Trak entries for every work order, ensuring full product/document traceability.
Build excellent rapport with manufacturing teams and undertake any suitable duties requested by the Lab Manager.About You
Essential:
Quality background in precision CNC engineering (aerospace, motorsport or automotive bias).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and inspect to requirements.
Experience in AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 17025 (or IATF 16949).
Strong understanding of measurement evaluations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word); comfortable with Mie Trak/work booking systems.Desirable: CMM and other metrology equipment experience.
