We are currently recruiting for a Lead Product/Application Engineer for a reputable bodybuilding manufacturer based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to take charge of product engineering activities, support sales, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant solutions.

Duties
9. Lead the creation of engineering-ready part lists and specifications
10. Maintain supplier quotes and manage supplier costing to optimise budgets
11. Prepare order acknowledgements and documentation for customer approval
12. Track quotation progress and report on customer conversion rates
13. Liaise with clients regarding product specifications and technical requirements
14. Ensure effective communication between Sales, Engineering, and Production departments
15. Sign off build documentation and engineering specifications
16. Manage product specifications within the engineering team
17. Maintain control of high-value parts lists and product matrix
18. Prepare comprehensive sales quotations for customers and internal teams
19. Support team operations by undertaking any additional duties within your capabilities
Requirements:
20. Proven experience as a Product Engineer, Application Engineer or similar within manufacturing or vehicle bodybuilding sectors
21. Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership and guide cross-departmental teams
22. Knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
23. Expertise in CAD software with the ability to develop precise engineering plans
24. Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities
25. High attention to detail ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance
26. Effective communicator capable of working collaboratively and engaging confidently with clients and suppliers
27. Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
28. Professional integrity with a strong sense of accountability
