Job Description
As a Landscape Architect, you will support the design and delivery of landscape and public realm elements within major urban transport and infrastructure schemes. You will work as part of a collaborative team of landscape architects, urban designers, engineers, and planners.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to concept, sketch, and detailed design packages for public realm, infrastructure and development projects.
* Assist in the preparation of design drawings, visuals, specifications, schedules, and reports to support planning and delivery.
* Carry out site and contextual analysis to inform design proposals.
* Assist with Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals (LVIA) and Assessments.
* Participate in workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions and client meetings as needed.
* Support project delivery through all stages, from feasibility through to construction.
* Collaborate across teams including architects, engineers, ecologists, and environmental consultants.
Skills and Experience
Experience (preferred but not all essential):
* Some experience working on infrastructure, public realm, or transport-related landscape design projects.
* Familiarity with landscape and visual assessment (LVIA/TVIA) methods.
* Understanding of soft and hard landscape design, including construction detailing.
* Knowledge of sustainable design principles and material specification.
* Interest in the environmental and socio-economic impacts of landscape design.
Skills:
* Strong design and graphical communication skills.
* Technical proficiency in preparing detailed landscape drawings and visuals.
* Ability to contribute to multiple stages of project delivery in a team environment.
* Good time management and attention to detail.
* Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
Qualifications
* BA and/or Master’s in Landscape Architecture.
* Working toward Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) is desirable.
* Software Skills
* Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* AutoCAD
* 3D Modelling in SketchUp / Rhino / Revit
* GIS experience is a plus
