RecSeekers are working on behalf of a high performing UK based Education recruitment agency who are hiring an Associate Consultant as they continue strengthening their team.
This role is aimed at someone who already understands the pace of the education recruitment market and has experience working on a busy temp desk. Someone who has been involved in the day to day running of a fast moving desk and is either getting close to or already managing around 100 days out.
The business has offices across the UK, from Southampton through to Newcastle, with strong coverage across the education market and long standing relationships with schools, trusts and MATs.
The opportunity
This role is designed for someone who has already learned the fundamentals of education recruitment and now wants to step into a setup where they can sharpen their performance and move towards running a larger desk.
You will remain heavily involved in candidate management and day to day delivery while also developing stronger ownership over the desk itself. The expectation is that you understand the tempo of education recruitment and are comfortable working in a busy, reactive market where consistency matters.
You will be working within a structured team environment with experienced consultants around you, but still have the autonomy to build relationships and grow your numbers week to week.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting and helping run a busy Education temp desk within the UK market
* Managing candidate pipelines across teaching and support roles
* Working closely with schools, trusts and MATs to fill urgent day to day requirements
* Maintaining strong candidate engagement and availability tracking
* Driving consistent daily activity across calls, bookings and placements
* Supporting longer term placements alongside day to day cover work
* Managing bookings, confirmations and candidate expectations
* Maintaining strong organisation across compliance and ATS systems
* Helping push the desk towards and beyond 100 days out

* Experience working on a fast paced Education recruitment desk
* Exposure to day to day or long term temp recruitment within the schools market
* Someone who understands the rhythm of managing a busy desk
* Ideally getting close to or already managing around 100 days out
* Strong communication skills with candidates and schools
* Organised and capable of managing multiple bookings at once
* A recruiter who enjoys working in a high activity environment
* Someone who wants to progress towards running a larger desk
