Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with a strong background in various kitchen environments, including fine dining and catering. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently. The Chef will oversee food production, ensure food safety standards are met, and lead a team to deliver outstanding dining experiences.
Responsibilities
* Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
* Be able to work a merry chef confidently.
* Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
* Guarantee consistency in taste and presentation.
* Can make homemade sausage rolls, homemade salads using a variety of ingredients.
* Available for Friday and Saturday working as this is a daytime role.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff and can work a barista machine to make artisan coffees.
* Works fast, clean and professional. Excellent time keeping and trustworthy.
Experience
We need a chef who can commit to working 5 days including Friday and Saturdays. This is a daytime role and latest finish is 4pm. Start time roughly 9 or 10am.
We need a chef who is comfortable using a merry chef, is able to make homemade sausage rolls, homemade salads, use a variety of ingredients. We need someone who can also step in and serve as a barista and therefore needs to be able to use a professional coffee machine to make artisan coffees.
We want someone who can be reliable, trustworthy and friendly. A good all rounder and isn't afraid to jump in and help where needed.
The successful person needs to know their way around a kitchen, know their hygiene and safety procedures.
