Health and Safety Manager Apprenticeship
Role: Both office and site based. Provide advice on how to work without harming themselves or others. Work with management and delivery teams to advise on statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and ensure implementation of legal and company SHE requirements.
Responsibilities
* Develop, review and execute safe systems of work.
* Create and deliver training packages (e.g., toolbox talks & inductions).
* Investigate and report incidents in the workplace.
* Analyse data and present findings to the management team.
* Undertake site visits to construction sites to check on site safety standards.
* Review and approve risk assessments and method statements.
* Enforce health and safety requirements.
* Identify hazards and implement solutions.
* Plan emergency procedures.
* Adhere to environmental and safety laws.
* Implement health and safety standards such as ISO 45001.

Typical Working Week
40 hours per week with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00, inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.

Minimum Requirements
English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 / D or above, or Functional Skills at Level 1 or above.
Desired Requirements
Passion and commitment to work in water treatment. Prior related work experience and a SHEA Card are advantageous but not essential.
Key Training / College Information
K10 will enrol you to the Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Technician course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.
The apprenticeship duration is 24 months.
Eligibility / Start Requirements
* Must have access to own vehicle.
* Must have had a full UK driver's licence for more than 6 months.
* Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status.
* Not enrolled on any other courses.
* 18+ due to site H&S rules.
