The Advocate Group are partnered with a prestigious brand in the luxury Premium spirits sector on the search for a retail manager to oversee the operations of their Manchester store ensuring business objectives and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

We are looking for an individual who possesses a strong commercial understanding and a proven track record in luxury retail, ideally with existing high-level relationships within the industry.

This individual will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a dynamic team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience, all while maintaining the highest standards of luxury retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for every customer.
2. Develop and implement strategies to drive store performance, sales growth, and profitability.
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and industry contacts to enhance business opportunities.
4. Manage a team of retail professionals, ensuring ongoing training, development, and motivation to deliver exceptional service and sales results.
5. Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and stock management, ensuring the store reflects the brand’s luxury positioning.
6. Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of store staff, ensuring alignment with brand values and performance expectations.
7. Analyse sales data and customer insights to inform decision-making and improve the store’s overall performance.
8. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:

1. Proven experience in a retail management role within the luxury sector, preferably in premium or high-end brands.
2. Strong commercial acumen – ability to sell / upsell customers, and sound understanding of the commercial objectives of TWS (margins, brand partnerships).
3. Credible and comfortable dealing with suppliers and brands during visits and events.
4. A demonstrated ability to develop and nurture relationships with high-net-worth individuals and key industry figures.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
6. Excellent communication skills and experienced at building relationships with customers / private clients.
7. Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
8. A proactive, results-oriented approach with a commitment to achieving targets and maintaining high standards.
