The Role As the Caretaker, you will be the "face" of the school site. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the premises. This is a hands-on role that requires a mix of technical skill and a proactive "can-do" attitude. Key Responsibilities: Site Security: Opening the school in the morning and ensuring the site is fully secured at the end of the day, including setting alarms and checking all windows and doors. General Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs such as fixing leaks, painting/decorating, changing lightbulbs, and basic carpentry or plumbing tasks. Health & Safety: Conducting regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring (Legionella), and ensuring all walkways are clear of hazards. Cleaning & Grounds: Supervising the cleaning team and ensuring the school grounds are tidy and free of litter or debris. Porterage: Moving furniture for assemblies and events, and taking delivery of school supplies and equipment.
