About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Summer Playscheme Workers to support the delivery of a fun, safe, and engaging playscheme programme for children aged 4-16 years.
Reporting to the Assistant Community Development Officer or Playworker, you will play a key role in organising and delivering a wide range of activities, both within the centre and on external trips.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Organise, supervise, and participate in activities within and outside the playscheme
2. Prepare materials and resources for daily programmes
3. Support the development and delivery of engaging play activities
4. Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
5. Ensure compliance with Playwork Code of Practice and Child Protection Policy
6. Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
7. Assist with basic administration, monitoring, and evaluation
8. Represent the service in a professional manner at all times
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
Experience (minimum 1 year):
9. Direct supervision of children as a core part of your role
10. Planning and delivering structured play activities
Additional Requirements:
11. Must be aged 18 or over (child protection requirement)
12. Strong understanding of working with children and young people
