About the Opportunity
The Energy Power Programmes team delivers critical client projects across major UK and European sites. Our embedded teams support projects like Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and initiatives in SMR technology, including Poland's first energy power station.
Our roles involve both client-facing and internal responsibilities, focusing on project management throughout the project lifecycle. We aim to deliver safe, high-quality, timely solutions through innovation and collaboration.
Amentum is seeking a Cable Routing Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing cable routing networks for the HPC project, ensuring compliance with UK cabling rules and nuclear regulations. Key responsibilities include:
* Producing routing reports to ensure data integrity and compliance with UK routing rules, considering safety, electrical segregation, and lifetime margins.
* Collaborating with layout teams to assess tray filling, model quality, and design alignment.
* Conducting feasibility studies for design changes, performing risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Providing feedback on routing software performance and troubleshooting.
* Updating stakeholders on progress during meetings.
* Training team members on cable routing software, rules, and regulations.
* Sharing experiences and integrating best practices from other projects.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of RCC-E electrical regulations and reference systems (NFC15-100, NF C 13-200, BS7671, IEC 60909).
* Experience or education in the nuclear field.
* Understanding of quality processes in nuclear industrial projects.
* Proficiency with CAD tools such as PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
