We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support and enhance the quality performance of our clients existing team, a market leader in the Aerospace Industry. In this role, you will help drive best‑in‑class practices that minimise defects, reduce variation, and ensure consistent adherence to required quality standards. You will also play a key part in strengthening compliance, improving supplier capability, and contributing to a continuous improvement culture.

Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended
Location: Wolverhampton WV10
Pay Rate: £38 - £45.00 per hour PAYE
Hours: 37 per week Monday to Friday Flexible start and finish times! Key Responsibilities
Conduct supplier, internal, and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) to maintain approvals.
Manage supplier performance using scorecards, maturity assessments, and improvement actions.
Support governance of supplier compliance, including escape management and closure of quality issues.
Flow down business and customer requirements to suppliers.
Train suppliers in continuous improvement tools and Root Cause Analysis using the 8D methodology.
Support and implement Source Change procedures.
Maintain and support the Quality Management System to ensure full compliance with applicable standards.
Use operational tools to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Undertake additional quality‑related tasks as needed to support business changes.What We're Looking For
Significant quality experience within engineering or aerospace (or similar highly regulated environments).
Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 and contractual flow‑down requirements.
Experience in fitting, welding, or machining (desirable).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CMM reports, and technical specifications.
Strong engineering and problem‑solving skills.
Proven continuous improvement experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact at all organisational levels.
