Activities Assistant Activities - Campania ARBD Care Home Contract: Part Time Salary: £12.71 Per Hour Shift Type: Weekends Contracted hours: 7.5 Campania is a spacious Victorian home in Weston-super-Mare, just a short walk from the seafront and pier. It provides specialist support for individuals living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, with care for up to 41 residents. Activities Assistant £12.71 per hour Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm Average of 7.5 hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided Onsite parking 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As an Activities Assistant, this role plays a key part in supporting residents’ wellbeing within a specialist complex care environment. Working with individuals living with Alcohol Related Brain Damage and complex mental health needs, the role focuses on delivering structured, meaningful activities that support routine, engagement and independence. Working closely with the Activities Coordinator and wider care team, the role involves supporting the planning and delivery of tailored activity programmes that reflect individual abilities, interests and goals. This includes both group and one to one engagement, encouraging participation and supporting residents to build confidence and maintain daily structure. The role requires patience, creativity and strong communication skills to build positive relationships and create a calm, inclusive environment. Activities are designed not only to engage, but to support cognitive function, emotional wellbeing and social interaction within a safe and supportive setting.
