Overview
We are seeking a technologically strong engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach in supporting customers from design through to production, covering recommendation on PCB design, assembly, testing, and electro-mechanical builds. The ideal candidate will also support the production process utilising SMT assembly, selective and flow soldering, and board cleaning.
This position requires a strong background in engineering principles, along with hands-on experience in various manufacturing techniques.
Duties
* Converting customer drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) into documentation suitable for our production processes.
* Supporting PCB, cable, and electro-mechanical builds.
* Assisting in improving production yields and quality via process engineering plus the selection of suitable consumables.
* Providing technical support to customers and internal teams.
* Working in compliance with aviation and defence industry standards.
* Being hands-on on the shop floor when required.
Skills
* Experience of PCB and electromechanical assembly processes.
* Good knowledge of electronic and electrical components.
* Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and BOMs.
* Strong communication skills – able to work directly with customers and colleagues.
* Experience in an aviation/defence accredited business (AS9100 or similar).
* Practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications
Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
