Senior Project Controller - Energy & Power
We are looking for a driven Senior Project Controller/Commercial/Finance professional to work in our Project Controls Team across a diverse portfolio of projects, frameworks, and verticals in Energy UK and Ireland and Contractor verticals/portfolios. You will support key Project Solution colleagues including the Project Solution Lead, MOPs, PC Manager, Commercial Manager, and Framework/Project Managers to deliver the best value.
As a key member of our Project Controls Team, you will provide day-to-day support and execution of project controls functions across the verticals/portfolios and their associated projects. You will be responsible for supporting and overseeing bidding/pricing projects, project setup, cost control, change control, invoicing, cost analysis, forecasting, revenue recognition, and reporting across the profile of projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project setup and inception – ensure correct Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is set up to enable accurate reporting to the client
* Provide accurate, robust, and transparent Estimates to Completion in IPCS
* Provide accurate Transaction Prices with GM variance commentary in Polaris (RevRec) in line with regional timelines on a monthly basis
* Create and maintain internal status reports capturing, and then monitor, review and communicate to internal management on Budgets / Actuals / Forecasts / Gross Margin / Contingency and Management Reserve
* Ensure adherence to contractual and Jacobs’ invoicing requirements, control Work in Progress (WIP) and maintain an appropriate Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
* Support project teams on cash collection activities and lead the commercials on bid submissions in collaboration with project teams on new opportunities
Here's what you'll need
* Knowledge and practical understanding of Jacobs internal systems and processes including Jacobs Analytics, Polaris, IPCS, Pricing Tool, APAP, Contracts
* Experience working as a Framework/Project Controller/Commercial/Financial Analyst on previous projects
* Specific experience in project controls functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management, risk management, cost analysis, variance analysis
* Ability to lead a team of Project Controllers to respond to dynamic challenges whilst maintaining focus on delivery excellence
