Secondary SEN Teacher / SEMH
Location: Chatham
Contract: Full-time, temporary to permanent
Start Date: ASAP or December
We are seeking a resilient and committed Secondary SEN Teacher to join a supportive team working with pupils who present social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
Subjects/Areas:
* Food Technology
* Art
* General Cover
The Role:
* Teach and engage vulnerable classes, including one particularly challenging group
* Deliver creative and engaging lessons to inspire learners
* Implement strong behaviour management strategies to support positive learning
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, structured environment
Requirements:
* Experience teaching in Secondary or SEN settings (Primary SEN teachers also considered)
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Resilience, reliability, and adaptability are essential
* Open to ECTs and unqualified teachers with relevant experience
* SEMH experience highly desirable
