Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team, based at our Washington OR Broxburn sites, with monthly travel to Spalding during month-end.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide analytical support and business partnering to operational sites to help plan, understand, and improve the financial performance of the business.
This is a full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and benefits, with the opportunity to work for a forward-thinking market leader.
Job Responsibilities
1. Prepare weekly P&L performance information by site for weekly reviews, including variance analysis against budget/forecast.
2. Reconcile SAGE financial accounts to business units' P&Ls monthly, explaining deviations.
3. Deliver targeted financial information to support site budget achievement.
4. Refresh quarterly financial forecasts to compare expected versus budgeted performance.
5. Act as a business partner to management, providing advice, guidance, and analytical support.
6. Conduct cost centre analysis as required during month-end or on an ad-hoc basis.
7. Issue weekly or as-needed cost centre reports to managers.
8. Prepare accruals and prepayments for the business unit.
9. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
10. Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in delivering accurate and insightful business information.
11. Review and control supplier spending, ensuring compliance with Group Authority Mandates (GO).
12. Participate in ad-hoc projects within the Finance team.
Qualifications
To apply, you should possess:
* Fully Qualified Accountant (desirable)
* Relevant experience in a commercial or finance role within an operational industry (e.g., FMCG)
* Experience in data analysis and making recommendations for change
* Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
* Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and macros
* Ability to interpret and present key financial information
* Previous business partnering experience (desirable)
