About the Role As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will provide high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insight to support commercial decision-making. Youll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, helping to shape business performance, identify opportunities, and influence outcomes. Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality financial analysis, forecasts, and performance reports to support commercial planning and strategic decision-making. Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide insight, challenge assumptions, and ensure financial implications are fully understood. Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and scenario modelling. Analyse sales, margin, cost, and profitability trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Support the development of business cases, pricing models, and investment appraisals. Provide accurate commentary and insight for monthly management accounts and reporting packs. Maintain and develop financial models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement. Help drive a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation. About You Youll be a commercially focused, analytical thinker with a passion for using data to influence performance. You will ideally have: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly. Experience in a finance or commercial analysis role, ideally within a fast-paced environment. Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to challenge, influence, and build effective working relationships. Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a desire to add value and drive continuous improvement. Studying towards or holding a recognised finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) is desirable but not essential.
