To work as part of a team providing care and treatment to individuals with mental ill health. To provide direct care according to the needs of the service users within the care programme approach/care management framework.
To support, give time to an allocated group of service users, promote recovery, and assist in maintaining links with their community environment. To assist the Care Co-ordinator / key nurse in planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.
Main duties of the job

Qualifications
* Experience as a support worker, healthcare assistant, or nursing assistant in a health care environment.
* Experience in mental health.
* Literacy and numeracy skills.
* NVQ Level II in Care or equivalent.
* Care Certificate.
* Driving competence (if applicable).
* Commitment to personal and professional development.
* Ability to respect service users' rights and needs.
* Ability to maintain a safe environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
