Senior Production Supervisor
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Supervisor to oversee the planning and coordination of a team involved in the aseptic manufacture of medicines. The role will involve working as a member of the Senior Pharmacy Production Team to oversee the safe manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals and ready to administer injectables. The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the production team, ensuring that scheduling and manufacture of unlicensed specials occurs in a safe and regulatory compliant environment. They will play an important role in developing new products and processes through Quality Risk Management (QRM) and Quality by Design (QBD) principles. The role includes leading on training and professional development initiatives, with a focus on anticipating future service needs. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
* Operational management of the Production team under the guidance of the Lead Production Supervisor.
* Ensuring adherence to regulations including Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Distribution Practice, Ionising Radiation Regulations, Health and Safety at work and any other relevant statutory requirements.
* Coordinating the training and education of staff.
* Undertaking product inspection prior to QC release.
* Contributing to the maintenance of the Pharmaceutical Quality System.
* Leading on the procurement of raw materials and consumables to ensure sufficient management of stock levels.
