RETTEW is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager 2 to join our Municipal Team as a municipal client representative. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven project management experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency with project management software and tools.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage municipal engineering projects from inception to completion.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
3. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
4. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
5. Prepare and present project reports and updates to clients and management.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
7. Collaborate with municipal personnel, officials, and community leaders to assess problems and develop solutions.
8. Engage in lifelong learning to stay updated on industry issues and advancements.
9. Support municipal staff during hiring gaps and assist in training new hires.
10. Develop plans related to ordinances, zoning, utilities, roadways, parks, and other infrastructure.
11. Analyze regional demographics, growth statistics, transportation, and environmental conditions to inform planning.
12. Attend night meetings as required.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited program.
2. Certification or ability to obtain certification.
3. At least eight years of relevant experience, including internships.
4. Minimum of four years experience as a project manager.
5. Strong computer skills with proficiency in project management software.
6. Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
7. Experience in municipal planning, including ordinance preparation and zoning approvals.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple projects.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
