“I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.” Oscar Wilde.Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a respected and well-established organisation based in Loughton to recruit a Finance Manager.This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong finance professional to join a collaborative team and lead across a broad range of finance activities—with a particular focus on financial planning and analysis (FP&A).Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:
* Preparation of management reporting and insightful commentary for stakeholders.
* Month-end processes including journals, P&L and Balance Sheet review.
* Revenue tracking, analysis, and reporting.
* Ownership of budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
* Insurance renewals and submissions.
* Year-end activities including audit preparation and liaison.
* Support with working capital management and banking relationships.
* Approve/sign off invoices and payments as needed.
* Mentor and guide junior team members.
* Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.
The successful Finance Manager:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Strong technical and commercial finance knowledge.
* Advanced Excel and Power BI skills are essential.
* Desirable: Experience with stock control and forecasting.
