Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive team member for mains cleaning and cyclic maintenance within the Proactive Conditioning team. Your focus will be on planned work, excluding reactive tasks, utilizing innovative mains cleaning methods, and supporting customer needs by resolving issues promptly.
You will support local asset owners within a predefined geographical area, aligning with the Distribution Operations Maintenance Strategy (DOMS) for mains and service conditioning. Flexibility in geographic location may be required based on work needs.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Operate valves for conditioning, support incident response with Level 3 approval, and ensure health & safety compliance. Maintain accurate records and proper site setup per NRSWA standards.
* Perform proactive mains conditioning, cyclic flushing, cleaning, and support increased proactive cleaning efforts, including targeted deposit removal in low-flow zones.
* Manage customer experience during service cleanings, communicating effectively through texts or leaflets about planned works.
* Support planned mains cleaning with new technologies, conduct risk assessments, and perform flushing after incidents like bursts. Use hydraulic modelling and turbidity monitors to mitigate discolouration risks.
* Maintain instrumentation, manage equipment with PODDS methodology, and operate loggers to monitor water quality, taking appropriate actions based on data readings.
