Computing teacher

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Computing Teacher to join a forward-thinking Independent School in Barnet, starting in September. This is a full-time, permanent position for a dedicated Computing Teacher to inspire students in the digital world across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging and effective Computing Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in Computing.
* Develop students' computational thinking, programming skills, and digital literacy.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback as a Computing Teacher.
* Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular computing activities.
* Uphold the school's ethos of innovation and support as a valued Computing Teacher.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Computing or Computer Science.
* Proven experience in teaching Computing at secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
* Strong knowledge of programming languages, algorithms, and computer systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Computing Teacher.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in Computing.
* A commitment to collaborative teamwork and a supportive school environment.
