What the role involves
* Understand the referral processes when necessary to engage with professionals to support a child referral.
* Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including and supporting children to manage their own feelings.
* Drive the culture of Safeguarding Children.
* You have the responsibility to ensure the children you care for are fully supervised and remain safe and well and you lead by example.
* Fulfil their roles, responsibilities and legislation duty in relation to safeguarding children by ensuring that they have read, understood and implemented the Safeguarding Policies.
* Highly motivated and driven, meeting deadlines for children's record keeping and assessments.
Skills and requirements
* Current 12hrs paediatric First Aid Certificate.
* Proven ability to work as part of a team to ensure essential day to day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands such as hygiene standards and room preparation.
* Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding children.
* Specific experience of working within the 0-2 years age group in accordance with the regulatory requirements if required.
Confirmed role details
* Part Time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 20 hours.
* This is a Part Time position, working 20 hours Monday to Friday, 10am - 2pm.
* 67 place nursery is proudly rated "Good" by Ofsted, is 30 minutes walking distance from the train station, and has a bus stop nearby.
