Safety & Compliance Officer
Our client, a Rotary Aviation Specialist, requires a Safety & Compliance Officer to join the business on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
Compliance
o Managing the AOC and ATO Audit Plan and being the lead auditor for these approvals.
o Undertaking Internal Audits and audits of sub-contractor organisations, primarily for the AOC and ATO.
o Oversight of the management and closure of findings and observations, ensuring corrective and root cause actions are completed.
o Preparing Compliance Monitoring performance data.
o Generating audit checklists in Centrik, particularly for AOC and ATO audits.
o Supporting the approval of Providers to support operations and training.
o Proactively addressing compliance issues with management and personnel.
o Providing advice on compliance issues.
o Supporting external auditors.
o Deputising for the Head of Safety and Compliance when unavailable for AOC and ATO activities.
Safety
o Promoting safety culture and behaviors across all activities.
o Collaborating with the Head of Safety and Compliance and Safety Reporting Manager to promote aviation safety.
o Carrying out investigations and root cause analysis related to operational and training safety cases.
o Supporting hazard identification, documentation, and management through risk assessments.

Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience

o At least 2 years in a safety or compliance role within a helicopter company.
o At least 5 years in flight or ground operations, maintenance, or airworthiness management for a helicopter company.

o Ability to enhance safety culture and gain staff respect.
