Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Platform Engineer (Kubernetes + Automation) to join the Core Platform Engineering Team responsible for the end to end operation, automation, and enhancement of a large scale hybrid server estate supporting business critical workloads. This is a mixed engineering role where team members contribute across fulfilment, implementation, platform maintenance, automation, and continuous improvement activities.
What you will do:
* Deliver engineering, fulfilment, and operational tasks across the Core Platform.
* Operate and maintain large scale Kubernetes environments.
* Perform hands on implementation and configuration changes.
* Automate operational tasks using Python, Ansible, GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins.
* Troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous improvement across the platform.
* Contribute to platform maintenance, automation initiatives, and service enhancements.
* Support an "everyone does everything" team culture and remain flexible for weekend changes when required.
Qualifications
* Strong Kubernetes expertise in large scale environments.
* Solid automation experience using tools such as Python and Ansible.
* Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and container ecosystem.
* Experience operating and supporting large server estates preferred.
* Ability to work across fulfilment, operations, implementation, and improvement activities.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills in hybrid infrastructure environments.
* Experience working in collaborative engineering teams with shared responsibilities.
