Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist solicitors in the preparation of cases, conduct legal research, and manage documentation effectively. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues alike.
Duties
* Assist solicitors in preparing legal documents and case files
* Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation
* Draft correspondence and legal documents using Microsoft Word
* Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
* Manage schedules and appointments using Microsoft Outlook
* Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases
* Utilise Microsoft Excel for tracking case progress and managing data
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines
Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Effective time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
* Basic IT skills to navigate various software applications relevant to the role
* A solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures is advantageous
