TQR are working exclusively with a global Manufacturer based at their Plymouth site to recruit experienced Warehouse Operatives to work on a new weekend shift due to a vast increase in production levels. Successful candidates will be responsible for a range of warehouse duties including picking, packing, stock control and goods movement within a fast-paced environment. These positions are being recruited on a temporary to permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
* Processing goods-in and goods-out.
* Stock control and inventory checks.
* Loading and unloading deliveries.
* General warehouse duties to support operations.
* Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
* Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
* Adhering to company Health and Safety procedures.
Essential Experience & Candidate Attributes Required:
* Recent warehouse experience gained within a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* The ability to work well as part of a team and under own initiative.
* A valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence is advantageous but not essential (training can be provided).
Candidate Process:
Candidates who are shortlisted for these roles must be able to commit to the following process with TQR ahead of being placed onto the weekend shift:
• Monday’s – Site Tour at the facility.
• Wednesday’s – Induction on site (duration approximately 4 to 5 hours).
Once candidates have attended both the site tour and induction, they will be required to complete a two-week training period working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift (06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00). Following successful completion of training, candidates will move onto the weekend shift, starting from 23rd May.
Candidates must be able to commit to a weekend shift pattern comprising either Saturday & Sunday 12-hour days (06:00–18:00) or Saturday & Sunday 12-hour nights (18:00–06:00), with shift allocation based on candidate preference.
Candidates will be paid for the induction at the base rate of £12.71 per hour in their first week’s wage, provided they begin the weekend shift as planned. The pay rate during the two-week training period is £14.31 per hour. Weekend shift pay rates are £17.16 per hour for day shifts and £19.06 per hour for night shifts.
