What will this role achieve?
The main responsibility of a Relief Wrapping Machine Operator is to work as part of a team in packing and feeding biscuits according to site requirements. When needed, you will stand in as a Wrapping Machine Operator, responsible for product and process delivery.
The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, committed to high standards in production, and willing to train for a permanent role. Flexibility to move lines across the factory is required.
What will be your key deliverables?
* Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching)
* Visually check for foreign matter and hazards
* Ensure the quality of biscuits being packed meets specifications
* Adhere to all quality and safety standards
* Work to high standards to meet planned output
* Report problems to supervisor
* Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards
* Support improvement initiatives
* Coordinate with all production processes on the line
Wrapping Machine Operator responsibilities
* Carry out pre-start checks
* Ensure product quality and specifications are met throughout the shift
* Understand equipment setup
* Complete changeovers and re-work procedures according to procedures
* Adjust machinery settings to maintain product consistency
* Accurately complete documentation
* Maintain factory standards safely
* Complete shift handovers
* Train peers and new operatives
* Undertake basic troubleshooting and maintenance
* Understand daily planning and communicate issues effectively
