A well-established and growing manufacturing group is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to lead financial control and reporting for its principal trading subsidiary. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a pivotal role within the finance function, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will oversee subsidiary-level reporting while also contributing to Group consolidation and statutory accounts preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Ownership of monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and variance analysis
2. Balance sheet integrity and reconciliations
3. Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
4. Payroll oversight and ERP system integrity (Microsoft BC)
5. Preparation of Group consolidated results and statutory accounts (UK GAAP / IFRS)
6. Liaison with external auditors and stakeholders
7. Support for R&D claims and technical accounting matters
Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with:
8. Proven experience in both subsidiary and Group-level reporting
9. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS
10. Hands-on experience in cash management, reconciliations, and payroll
11. Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft BC desirable)
