The Role:
As a Senior Planner, you’ll be a key figure in the planning team—taking ownership of complex projects, guiding clients and colleagues, and helping to steer strategic planning direction. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio and be involved in both hands-on planning and high-level advice.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Managing and delivering planning applications, appeals, and development proposals
2. Advising clients and internal teams on planning strategy and regulations
3. Coordinating with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
4. Contributing to business development through networking and client relationships
5. Supporting and mentoring junior planning staff
6. Staying ahead of policy updates and changes in legislation
Who We’re Looking For:
7. Solid experience in a planning role, ideally within the private sector or consultancy
8. Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and policy framework
9. RTPI Chartered (or working towards chartership)
10. Confident communicator with strong report-writing and negotiation skills
11. Self-motivated, commercially aware, and collaborative in your approach
