Job Title: Band 8A Specialist Clinical Psychologist – Adult Acute Grade: Band 8A Location: London, Greater London Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application We are seeking a highly experienced Band 8A Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join our NHS client in London, Greater London. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist psychological input within adult acute inpatient wards Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans Deliver evidence-based interventions to support recovery and wellbeing Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care Contribute to service development and clinical supervision where appropriate Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation Qualifications & Experience HCPC registration (essential) Significant experience working in adult acute mental health settings Proven expertise in inpatient psychological care and ward-based interventions Strong assessment, formulation, and therapeutic skills Previous experience in a Band 8A Clinical Psychology role How to Apply If your experience matches this role, apply today!
