Your role will be pivotal in delivering cost savings back to the business by identifying inventory opportunities and savings whilst also optimising where we are required to spend money on markdowns to support stock clearance.
Working as part of a central team that collaborates cross-functionally with multiple other business units, you will also manage external relationships where applicable, such as with markdown solution provider Blue Yonder, focusing on markdown optimisation opportunities and enhancements to tools that will support your delivery of commercial benefits.
You will be crucial in delivering inventory optimisation results within our commercial function, ensuring profitable stock exits and decision-making with the overall business in mind. While managing weekly operational activities, you will also collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams to identify potential inventory issues and develop solutions.
The role involves creating governance reports and establishing operational workflows that enable quick decision-making with stakeholder involvement. You will utilize various applications to conduct analysis and analytics, engaging with different business units to inform future decisions and opportunities.
In addition to markdown decision-making for range changes and store requests, you will analyze and optimize promotional and event activities to enhance these processes further.
Let's find out about you
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current operational processes, especially around range changes and promotional activities, with ideally a solid grasp of commercial and supply chain principles to support decision-making.
