Job Purpose To develop and implement strategic Health Safety and Security systems and policies within CFF London and supporting Hubs, and ensure, and monitor compliance with those and all relevant legislation.​ The Manager will also ensure that all resources either internal or outsourced are used effectively to support the business. Key Responsibilities * To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations on behalf of CFF London and supporting Hubs​ * To implement, monitor and advise on strategic Health, Safety and Security Management systems within CFF London and supporting Hubs​ * To develop, co-ordinate, implement and monitor safe working systems and processes​ and promote a positive Health, Safety and Security culture within the Group ​ * To develop and implement training plans which ensure all employees and Directors of CFF London and supporting hubs receive training necessary to ensure compliance.​ * To manage, develop and implement continual improvement practices and ensure that areas of responsibility operate in a manner that accord with appropriate statutory guidance and CFF London’s Health, Safety and Security policies, procedures and values.​ * To ensure that data with regards to Health, Safety and security performance is effectively captured and analysed to enable improvement plans to be developed​ * Providing support and guidance to CFF London and supporting Hubs on technical, legal and other issues as required.​ * Highlight areas where poor practice and/or significant risk have occurred and prepare, in conjunction with line managers, remedial plans. * Safe Systems of Working​ * Develop systems for strategic Health, Safety and Security requirements on changes to legislation​ * Prepare documentation for CFF Comex Team and Risk Committee with recommendations​ * Implement changes to ensure compliance within CFF London and supporting hubs ​ * Support managers in the monitoring and review new systems to ensure effectiveness​ and to develop safe working systems to encourage work safety​ ​H&S Training​ * Advise individuals/teams on personal safety issues as requested​ * Identify Health, Safety and Security training needs​ * Design, deliver or arrange Health, Safety and Security training and development events as required​ * Evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety training interventions​ * Monitor external training provision Manage Health & Safety budget on a monthly basis General​ * Promote and embed equality and diversity as an integral aspect of working for CFF London, by leading by example.​ * To ensure the effective management of health, safety and security arrangements of staff, contractors and customers.​ * To carry out any other duties which are consistent or commensurate with the role and or as directed by the Director Operations * Ensure implementation of procedural change to comply with new working practice/legislation​ * To carry out Health Safety and Security Audits and inspection and make recommendations for improvement in line with current legislation​ * Report to the CFF Comex Team on all audit findings, recommendations and action plans​ * Undertake site inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with safe working practices Accident/Incident Investigation / Outcomes​ * Investigating incidents and producing detailed factual reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvement​ * Ensuring that any incident that falls within the scope of RIDDOR is reported to the HSE​ * Ensuring that any incident that is deemed to have posed a significant risk to CFF London and supporting Hubs or is reportable under RIDDOR is fully investigated and reported ​ * Dealing with the HSE, the Environment Agency, insurers and other bodies in the event of a major incident or as required.​ * Manage responses to insurance claims relating incidents
