We are recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in major general, urology, and gynae-oncology surgery to join a well-established department in Northampton.
About the Role
* Deliver anaesthesia for major elective and complex surgical procedures
* Work across general surgery, urology, gynae-oncology, and day surgery
* Participate in a 1:12 on-call rota
* Contribute to perioperative care, MDT working, and service development
* Support teaching, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
The department supports around 20,000 procedures annually across multiple theatre suites and specialist services.
What We’re Looking For
* Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
* CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia (or within 6 months)
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or eligibility)
* Experience in major general and complex surgical anaesthesia
* Interest in perioperative medicine (desirable)
