We're Hiring: Administrative Assistant (Full-Time)
Start Date: 20/10/2025 | Free On-Site Parking | Salary: Circa £28,000 per year DOE
Are you an organised, proactive professional looking to make a real impact in a supportive, fast-paced environment? We're on the lookout for a talented Administrative Assistant to join our team and help keep things running smoothly as we bid a sad farewell to our current assistant (who's off to Australia - not that we're jealous).
About Us
Verus Group is a leading specialist in Passive Fire Protection, with over 10 years' experience delivering fire‑stopping, fire door installation & maintenance, and related safety services across commercial and residential sectors around the UK.
As a rapidly growing company, we take pride in our accreditations and our commitment to quality, safety and compliance.
Currently, our admin team wears many hats — handling areas such as compliance, finance, management of our workflow systems, and much more. As we expand, we're looking to establish more specialised roles within the company, while still maintaining the strong collaborative culture we're known for.
About the Role
As our Administrative Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting daily operations across the business. From managing calls and diaries to organising records and travel arrangements, your work will help the whole team stay focused, efficient, and on track.
You'll often be the first point of contact for new enquiries and existing customers — so a friendly, professional manner is key, and you'll have the chance to create a positive first impression of our company every day.
This is a full-time, in-person role based at our office, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits.
What You'll Be Doing
* Answering and directing incoming calls to the right team member
* Managing and maintaining documents and records
* Data entry and keeping internal databases up to date
* Coordinating travel and accommodation for staff
* Preparing company reporting software for our site operatives
* Assisting with preparation and processing of key business documents, including client and supplier invoices, onboarding forms (PQQs), supplier account applications, and client information request forms.
* Providing general administrative support across the business
What We're Looking For
* Prior experience in an admin or office support role
* Strong IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office
* A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
* A highly organised individual, with great attention to detail
* An ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
* Familiarity with standard office equipment (printers, scanners, copiers)
* Bonus: Experience using tools like or similar workflow software
What We Offer
* Salary: Circa £28,000 per year, DOE
* Annual bonus
* Pension contributions
* Free on-site parking
* CPD opportunities - whether you're looking to grow in your role or expand your knowledge of the passive fire industry.
* A friendly, collaborative team environment
* Real opportunities to contribute and develop professionally
A Great Place to Work
