Join us as a Control Business Partner – Economic Crime. Your role involves assessing the integrity and effectiveness of the bank’s internal control framework to support risk mitigation and protect the bank’s operational, financial, and reputational risk.
Key Responsibilities
* Knowledge of business areas, products, processes and platforms to assess risk.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to improve control effectiveness through documentation of control assessments, procedures and findings.
* Identify and investigate potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework.
* Develop reports to communicate key findings, control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management and stakeholders.
* Execute reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank’s internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation and best practice.
* Implement adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.

* Lead and manage a team, or act as an individual contributor as a subject‑matter expert within the discipline.

Qualifications & Skills
* Strong stakeholder management.

* Previous experience in economic crime.
* Understanding of risk.
* Previous experience in controls.
* Industry awareness.
* Knowledge of risk & controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job‑specific technical skills.
The role can be based in Northampton or Glasgow.
