Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a supportive educational setting as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with students requiring additional support to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored, one-to-one support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a classroom environment
Assist in the implementation of individual Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Support teaching staff in delivering personalised learning activities and targeted interventions
Promote the development of academic abilities and social skills among pupils with SEN
Track and report on student progress in collaboration with teaching staff
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Good understanding of SEN strategies and effective support techniques
Education:
GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/5 (C) or above
Skills and Experience:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Well-organised with attention to detail
Prior experience supporting students with additional needs
Desirable:
Further training in specific areas such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD
Working Environment:
Based primarily in a classroom setting
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
