Specialised Musculo-Skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist
Band 6 - Fixed Term Secondment - Cross site. Following development of our MSK collaborative under East Sussex MSK, we continue to grow and develop our MSK Physiotherapy services. Due to maternity leave we are recruiting a Fixed Term Secondment Band 6 to support ongoing provision of our MSK pathways. This role is cross-site, offering exposure to a wide range of MSK patients and opportunities to develop MSK assessment and management skills.
We welcome applications from current ESHT staff; this fixed-term role will be offered as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside experienced MSK clinicians, including advanced practitioners, the MSK Clinical Lead, Rehab Leads and the MSK Clinical Consultant.
* Contribute to collaboration with other providers as part of the East Sussex MSK collaborative to drive innovation and best practice across Sussex.
* Support personal professional development through an embedded in-service training programme, clinical and leadership supervision, mentoring and appraisal.
* Deliver evidence-based care pathways for MSK patients and take an active part in in-service training.
* Provide supervision and support to junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants, and support student placements and work experience placements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Band 5 or Band 6 with some prior experience of working with MSK patients.
* Clear communication and organisational skills, with sound knowledge of the management of a wide range of MSK conditions.
* Ability to work cross-site and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
* Experience assisting senior MSK physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Leads in delivering care pathways.
