What's involved with this role: Temporary Highways Operative Reference no: Durham 5134614928667 Pay Rate: £12.18 per hour PAYE 35-37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 3 months City: DURHAM May be required to work from other depots at Bishop Auckland, Chilton or Wolsingham as occasional holiday cover etc. A Highways Operative is required to carry out work which may include laying kirbs, tarmac, digging footings and general labouring. Work may also include maintenance including working on roads, footpaths, cycle ways and bridges including drainage and fencing etc. Work in a carriageway patching gang, laying by hand 10 - 20 Tonne of bitmac per day. Must be fit and healthy and able to work outside in all weathers and have previous labouring experience.
