Full-Time Teaching Assistant – SEND School | Wiltshire Location: Wiltshire Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: Immediate Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We’re looking for a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our team and help shape brighter futures! About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and families, you will help deliver personalised learning and care that enables each child to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning and behavioural needs Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons and therapeutic activities Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction Help implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour support strategies Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Contribute to pupil progress reviews and maintain accurate records What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs A calm, empathetic, and patient approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer: A warm, inclusive, and supportive school community Ongoing professional development and training opportunities Access to experienced SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral support A chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people Summary: This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to be part of something truly meaningful.
