Location: Manchester Pay Rate: £19.77 per hour Benefits: Company van + fuel card supplied About the Role We are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our social housing maintenance team covering properties across Manchester. This role focuses on delivering high-quality internal and external painting, decorating, and finishing works in occupied and void domestic properties. You'll play an essential part in maintaining homes to a safe, comfortable, and modern standard for residents. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating tasks across social housing stock. Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, patch repairs, and sealant work. Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and protective coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces. Complete responsive maintenance tasks following tenant reports or scheduled refurbishment works. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. Work efficiently in both occupied and void properties with sensitivity to residents' needs. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, following health and safety regulations. Accurately record work completed using mobile devices or job sheets. Communicate professionally with tenants, supervisors, and team members.
