With over 1500 residents, more than 760 businesses and up to 5 million visitors per year, our policing challenges are diverse and our service delivery, focusing on community engagement is central to ensuring that we create a secure and safe environment for all those who work, live or socialise within Belfast Harbour. Officers and civilian support staff provide 24-hour, 365 day response cover to incidents and requests for assistance throughout the 2,000 acre Harbour Estate supported by a neighbourhood sector policing model. Core responsibilities include Community Safety and Engagement Detection, Prevention and Investigation of Crime Promote a Safe Environment Personal Responsibility Working alongside various statutory agencies Professional Image and Capability Criteria Qualifications A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics. The onus rests with individual candidates to provide evidence of equivalent qualifications meeting the required level. Must have completed three years' service to include the 2-year probationary period and the Policing Diploma or your forces equivalent qualification at the point of application. Experience You must be a current serving police officer with a UK Territorial Police Service or have served within the last eighteen months.
