Our client is continuing to grow its presence in the North West, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their Manchester team. About
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll be a key technical lead within the team, overseeing design delivery, guiding junior engineers, and working closely with clients and stakeholders. You’ll contribute to a wide range of civil and infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use developments.
The role
* Leading the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure
* Producing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and calculations
* Managing project programmes, resources, and budgets
* Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior and graduate engineers
* Liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
* Preparing and overseeing planning submissions and Section 38/104/278 applications
* Ensuring designs meet UK standards, best practice, and sustainability objectives
What they’re looking for
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Significant experience within a consultancy environment
* Strong technical background in infrastructure design and relevant UK standards
* Proficiency with industry software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and AutoCAD
* Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
* Chartered or actively working toward CEng/IEng status
