The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit an Assistant Practitioner - Physiotherapy Orthopaedics, based within University Hospital Hairmyres.
The Assistant Practitioner implements and adapts treatment programmes within hospital and or community settings for individuals / groups of patients, using specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes.
Please note: Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
2. Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
3. Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
4. Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.
5. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Time management, planning and organisational skills.
7. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
8. Ability to work individually or as part of a team
9. Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
10. Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Physiotherapy within University Hospital Hairmyres.
The working pattern for this role: 3 days per week, every Wednesday and one full weekend per month
