Corporate Portfolio Director - Yorkshire and North East
As a Corporate Portfolio Director, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Corporate Customers across Yorkshire and the North East, some of whom will have complex needs or may experience challenges that require support or corrective measures to protect the loan book. You will work with the executive team to deliver appropriate risk strategies and credit limits for your portfolio. Working to achieve a commercially balanced sustainable solution, you will assess the credit position and identify appropriate options to meet both customer and business needs, including new lending opportunities and ongoing review of each customer’s wider business to identify credit appetite.
Responsibilities
* Develop relationships at all levels with your portfolio of Corporate Customers and senior stakeholders to enable successful business relationships, allowing us to manage, protect and grow the loan book.
* Actively own and manage allocated corporate accounts by implementing credit strategies to minimise credit risk and provide solutions that create potential lending opportunities where appropriate.
* Manage, track and analyse departmental data to support the decision‑making process.
* Work with the wider business to identify and manage horizon risks.
* Maintain strong and relevant industry knowledge across all asset types, sectors and regions.
* Support the management of the department by identifying process opportunities to improve outcomes for customers and the business.
Qualifications
* Strong relationship and portfolio management experience.
* Expert knowledge of the commercial and residential lending market.
* Deep knowledge of credit management strategies.
* Ability to effectively challenge and influence key stakeholders.
* Good understanding of financial accounts and cash flow forecasts.
