Job Title: Garage Technician / Vehicle Technician
Location: The Arches Garage, Bolton
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
About Us: The Arches Garage is a busy and well-established independent garage offering MOTs, servicing and mechanical repairs. We pride ourselves on honest work, high standards and excellent customer service.
Role: We are looking for a skilled Garage Technician to carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles. This is a hands‑on role within a professional and friendly workshop.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle servicing (interim & full)
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
* Work on brakes, suspension, clutches, exhausts and engine components
* Conduct vehicle inspections
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
* Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently
* Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
* Good communication skills
Desirable (but not essential)
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance
* Experience with diagnostic equipment
* MOT qualification (advantage but not required)
