As a Registered Area Manager, you will:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for fostering services across a wide region
Manage recruitment, supervision, and development of staff in line with best practice
Ensure safeguarding and child protection practices meet statutory requirements
Drive quality assurance and regulatory compliance, achieving Good or above in inspections
Oversee budgets, business planning, and foster carer retention strategies
Build strong partnerships with local authorities and external agencies
Promote engagement with children and young people, ensuring their voices shape services
To be successful as a Registered Area Manager, you will:
Social Work qualification (DipSW/CQSW/Degree) and Social Work England registration
Level 5 Management qualification (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
Proven experience in fostering, adoption, or family placement settings
Strong leadership and people management skills across diverse teams
Knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice
Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting and business development
Ability to travel extensively and participate in out-of-hours service
In return, my client are offering a salary of up to £63,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note, this is a full-time permanent position, offered on a remote working basis, however, you must be based in the South West!
