Are you an innovative obstetric doctor with a passion for increasing global access to high quality intrapartum care? Would you like to do research that leverages cutting edge technology to makea difference where the need is the greatest?
Applications are invited for a fully funded 3 year fellowship that will support a predoctoralclinician to develop and complete research leading to a PhD within the Intelligent PregnancyProducts Platform (I3P) program. The Program is a unique collaboration of academic andindustry partners aiming to address gaps in worldwide obstetric care by developing novelintrapartum monitoring technology.
The postholder will work with partners in the USA, Nigeria, India, Pakistan and Rwanda todevelop and test wearable sensors and data driven approaches to detect complications such assepsis, obstructed labour and PPH.
Funding includes salary for up to 36 months and PhD tuition, subject to developing a suitableproject and being accepted for PhD study.
Candidates should have >3 years of postgraduate experience in O&G. Clinical research fellowswill be appointed on Grade AMN2 of the clinical academic scale (£43,504 to £64,461).
